Header Button Links

Any item in a WordPress menu can be styled as a button in Salient, which is how the demos put a call to action at the end of the header navigation. The style is a per-item setting in the Salient menu options.

  1. In the Salient Menu Options, head to the “Menu Item” tab and scroll towards the bottom to find the “Menu Item Link Button Style” dropdown.
  2. Select your desired style from the list and optionally alter the text coloring for the button.

By default, all menu items are moved into the off-canvas menu when viewed on a mobile device. As of v14 of Salient, you can select specific items to persist in the mobile header.

  1. In the Salient Menu Options, head to the “Menu Item” tab under the Text group.
  2. Enable the option labeled “Persist In Mobile Navigation Header”.
